Birth of the Raven a Concept of the Dark Romanticism

A Journey into the Dark.....

Black Feathers, the smell of the Dark and a touch of Melancholy. The Costume and Photo Project "Birth of the Raven" was inspired by Edgar Allen Poe´s Novel "The Raven". The Idea was to create a Real living creature with own Movements and Soundtrack. Its a mix between High Fashion Couture with an industrial looking Touch and a real Raven Face. For this Costume the most Popular German Mask Maker: Marén Söhnlein, from Maskenzauber & Erlebenskunst created this unbelievable Headpiece.

The first Photos of the Raven Creature and the Birth has happend in Venice. This is the first Impression

... But the raven, sitting lonely on the placid bust, spoke only

That one word, as if his soul in that one word he did outpour.

Nothing further then he uttered- not a feather then he fluttered-

Till I scarcely more than muttered, "other friends have

flown before-

On the morrow he will leave me, as my hopes have flown before."

Then the bird said, "Nevermore."
